Speed Lab Webinar Series

Speed Lab Webinar Series

A hands-on learning experience for coaches and athletes focused on performance

Speed Festival has always been about more than a single annual event.

It’s a meeting point for coaches, athletes, and practitioners who believe that performance is built through knowledge, experience, and continuous learning.

With this vision in mind, we introduce the Speed Lab Webinar Series:
a curated program of four live webinars designed to bring elite-level expertise directly to coaches and athletes, wherever they are.

A new way to learn, throughout the season

The Speed Lab Webinar Series is built around a simple idea:
high-level education should not be limited to one weekend per year.

From 22 January to 5 March, every two weeks at 12:30 PM CET, four international experts will deliver focused, practical sessions combining theory, real-world examples, and applied coaching insights.

Each webinar includes:

  • 45 minutes of presentation

  • 15 minutes of live Q&A

  • Full access to recordings for 12 months

  • Slides, practical insights, and a certificate of participation

This is not just education — it’s a chance to stay connected to the Speed Festival philosophy all year long.

πŸ“… 5 February – 12:30 PM CET

Dr. Jo Brown is a performance physiotherapist and biomechanist with over 20 years of experience in elite sport.

She has worked across 18 different sports, supporting NBA players, international footballers and track & field athletes, and is best known as the performance physiotherapist behind Noah Lyles.

In this webinar, Jo will break down common misconceptions around glute function in sprinting and present practical, gym-based solutions for coaches and athletes.

Håkan Andersson

How to Train the Acceleration Phase
πŸ“… 19 February – 12:30 PM CET

With nearly 40 years of coaching experience, Håkan Andersson is a reference figure in sprint development and strength training.

Laura Turner

Teaching and Training Hurdles
πŸ“… 5 March – 12:30 PM CET

Laura Turner brings the dual perspective of former elite athlete and coach.

A former sprint hurdler, she represented Great Britain at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and later transitioned into coaching and athlete development.

In her webinar, Laura will explore effective approaches to teaching and developing hurdling skills, supporting learning and performance within the fixed technical structure of hurdle events.

Practical knowledge from the elite level

Across all four webinars, the speakers will share:

  • Real-world examples from elite international athletes

  • Practical coaching solutions

  • Insights that can be directly transferred to the track and the gym

This is education designed for coaches who want to understand, not just copy.
