Move Better. Move Faster: Speed Festival 2026 Is Now Open

Jul 27, 2026

Registrations for Speed Festival 2026 are officially open.

On 10–11 October 2026, coaches, researchers, practitioners, students and athletes will meet at CUS Dalmine, Italy, for two days dedicated to speed training and sprint performance.

This year’s event is built around a simple idea:

Move better. Move faster.

Speed is not only about producing more force. It also depends on how that force is organised, timed and transferred through movement. Speed Festival 2026 will explore this relationship by bringing together international expertise, applied sport science and coaching practice.

What is new in 2026?

The main change is the structure of the event.

Speed Festival 2026 is organised around two days and two different formats:

  • practical workshops on Saturday;

  • the main international conference on Sunday.

Participants can choose between attending only the Sunday conference or joining the complete two-day experience.

Saturday offers a practical and interactive learning environment. Sunday provides a broader conference programme focused on sprint performance, coaching and applied sport science.

The first speakers announced

The complete lineup will be revealed progressively, but the first three speakers and topics have already been announced.

Gennaro Boccia will present a session on Plyometric Training, an area closely connected to force production, reactive ability and explosive performance.

Johan Lahti will focus on Multidirectional Speed, expanding the discussion beyond linear sprinting to include acceleration, deceleration and movement in different directions.

Jo Brown will return to Speed Festival with The Speed Equation, exploring the interaction between movement, force and coordination in the development of speed.

More speakers and programme details will be announced through the official Speed Festival channels.

Saturday 10 October: practical workshops

Saturday will be entirely dedicated to hands-on workshops.

Participation is limited to 60 people, creating a smaller environment for observation, discussion and direct interaction with the speakers.

The provisional Saturday schedule is:

  • 9:15–10:00: registration;

  • 10:00–13:00: morning workshop;

  • 13:00–14:30: lunch break;

  • 14:30–17:30: afternoon workshop.

Welcome coffee and a lunch box are included.

The reduced capacity is an important part of the experience. Saturday is designed for participants who want to connect coaching concepts directly to movement and practical application.

Sunday 11 October: the international conference

Sunday is the main conference and can accommodate up to 170 participants.

The day will include seven sessions with international speakers and will run from 9:00 to 17:30.

Registration opens at 8:30, followed by the welcome presentation and the morning sessions. After lunch, the programme continues with the afternoon presentations and final wrap-up.

Simultaneous translation from English into Italian will be available throughout the conference.

The Sunday ticket also includes welcome coffee, a welcome bag, a lunch box, access to the exhibition area and a 20% discount on online courses.

Ticket options and Early Bird prices

Two ticket options are available.

Sunday Conference

The Sunday Conference ticket includes the complete programme on 11 October.

The Early Bird price is €150.
The standard price will be €200.

Only 75 Sunday Conference tickets are available at the Early Bird price.

Full Two-Day Experience

The Full Experience includes Saturday’s practical workshops and the complete Sunday conference.

The Early Bird price is €300.
The standard price will be €400.

Only 30 Full Experience tickets are available at the Early Bird price. The Saturday workshops are limited to 60 participants in total.

When does the Early Bird offer end?

Early Bird tickets are available until 31 August 2026 or until the allocated tickets sell out, whichever happens first.

The discounted price may therefore end before the deadline.

For those who want to attend Saturday’s workshops, early registration is especially important because of the limited capacity.

Discounts and important information

Additional discount codes are available for:

  • ilCoach members;

  • students;

  • partner federations;

  • participants in previous Speed Festival editions.

Discounts cannot be combined.

Special rates may also be available for teams or associations registering multiple participants. These conditions should be confirmed with the Speed Festival organisation before purchasing.

On-site registration will not be available. All participants must register before the event.

Venue and travel information

Speed Festival 2026 will take place at:

CUS Dalmine
Via Verdi 56
Dalmine, Bergamo, Italy

The venue is approximately 20 minutes by taxi from Bergamo–Orio al Serio Airport and can be reached from Milan in under one hour by train.

Special accommodation rates are available through partner hotels near the venue.

Two days dedicated to speed

Speed Festival is a meeting point between science and practice.

A place where coaches, researchers, students and athletes can explore the same questions from different perspectives, exchange ideas and bring new insights back to their training environments.

On 10–11 October 2026, that conversation returns to Dalmine.

Move better. Move faster.
