On October 18–19, 2025, the University of Bergamo – Dalmine will host one of Europe’s most innovative events dedicated to sprint training, hurdles, biomechanics, and sports performance coaching.

Andrea Ceccarelli: From Castelporziano to the World Stage π
We are proud to welcome Andrea Ceccarelli, Technical Director of the Fiamme Gialle athletics team.
At the Castelporziano training center, Ceccarelli has helped create one of the best environments in the world for high-performance athletes. Names like Filippo Tortu, Gianmarco Tamberi, Mondo Duplantis, Andy Diaz, and the Ingebrigtsen brothers have all found the perfect conditions there to pursue excellence.
More recently, he has guided athletes like Gaia Sabatini, who made history by breaking the 4-minute barrier in the 1500m.
π At Speed Festival 2025, Andrea will highlight the key features that every high-level facility must offer: from the track to the weight room, from medical support to recovery technologies.
Dr. Pedro Jiménez-Reyes: Assisted & Resisted Sprint Training π
Joining us from Madrid, Dr. Pedro Jiménez-Reyes is a leading researcher in force–velocity profiling and sprint performance.
With more than 100 scientific publications and decades of applied research, he has worked at the intersection of science and coaching, transforming the way we understand sprint and jump performance.
At Speed Festival 2025, his session will combine theory and practical demonstrations on the track — powered by 1080 Motion, the technology that has revolutionized assisted and resisted sprint training worldwide.
Elena Bergamini: Measuring Muscle Activation in Sprint β‘οΈ
She’s back! Dr. Elena Bergamini, bioengineer and Associate Professor at the University of Bergamo, will once again bring her expertise in biomechanics to the Speed Festival.
Her lecture, “Measuring Muscle Activation in Sprint”, will explore how understanding and monitoring muscle activity can provide crucial insights into sprint performance and injury prevention.
This session will also mark an important milestone:

Scholarship Opportunities for Coaches
As part of the European Athletics Coaching Summit Series, Speed Festival participants are eligible for EA scholarships, available through their national federations:

CHF 400 → for one coach attending an event in-person

CHF 800 → for two coaches

CHF 1200 → for three coaches, with at least one woman coach included
This initiative makes it even easier for coaches across Europe to join and benefit from the knowledge exchange at the Speed Festival.
